Laura Bruce

I am a Counsellor who is also engaged in ongoing studies in Psychology. I have enjoyed the opportunity to study both, through an interdisciplinary pathway that supports a more holistic therapy approach.

I am interested in applying my experience in overseas disaster management and humanitarian response to psychological crisis management. While crisis management can encompass any life challenge such as grief, relationship break down and existential crisis, I am also interested in offering psychological support related to climate change concern and post disaster support.

I am a member of the Australian Counselling Association and I am qualified to provide psychosocial first aid with the Australian Red Cross. I currently work with young people as a Youth Access Clinician for headspace.
